Here you will find links to tutorials and progress documentations that I've made. Yes, I know the art world is full of Photoshop tutorials, but in my opinion, there are never enough. Photoshop is so huge a program that seasoned artists still do things the hard way sometimes, unaware that there is an easier method. As for the progress documentations, well, I enjoy seeing an artist's progress, so I imagine other people would like seeing mine. *shrugs* They're much easier to make than tutorials anyhow. lol
Tutorials created in Photoshop 7
Pre-Painting Tutorial
Find out how to prepare your sketches for painting. Designed to leave your lines visible and colourised so that you can paint underneath them without the tell-tale signs of the magic wand. Completed: March 6, 2006
Brick Tutorial
For those of you who think painting bricks or stone is very difficult, here is a method that will make it much easier without sacrificing quality. Completed: Sept. 28, 2007
Progress Documentations
"Love Like This" Progress
From start to finish, it took me 5 days and roughly 18 hours. At a mere $6.25 an hour, that would be $112.50. >_< Completed: March 5, 2006 Find the amasing Blackeri here.
"Leon Bennicardi" Progress
A gift for two of my online friends, Stefany (who owns the character) and Cari Jo (who is one of his biggest fans). This is only my fourth painting, done from scratch, completely in Photoshop, with no previous pencil sketch. I did have a photo reference, which helped greatly with the lighting, but the character looks very little like the model.
Before and After
Solitary Tree--Alterations
A look at the difference between my original photos and the actual photo that I display. This may explain why I don't concider myself a photographer.
