Forget Me Not

The saddest thing about growing up is that people forget that you were once a child and that the things that happened when you're young shape you the most. In this painting, I took a photo of a very beautiful child and turned her into a faery to capture the innocence and fragility of youth. The garland of forget-me-nots are, of course, symbolic.
