Like Puppies

My entry for Jenny Dolfen's contest. This is not at all what I had planned to enter. This was supposed to be just a simple sketch to get the image out of my mind so I could work on what I really wanted to enter...but I decided to colour this one...and then I ran out of time for the other one.

So, here's the section of text that inspired this one:
After a while, Rhys, who had been supervising their work, joined Aiden as he was cleaning his sword of mud. He felt as if he had to ride herd on two young dogs that were constantly at each other's throats. Aiden, he knew, was doing his best to pull himself together where Dylan was concerned--whatever "his best" was--but Dylan seemed determined to understand wrong everything that Aiden said or did.

No, not an actual illustration for this scene, but I think it fits the characters. ^_^
