Promise of Spring One of two identical images from a commission that I finished recently, intended to be a Christmas gift and posted before Christmas with permission. This is a depiction of the place in which the lady's family used to live, but she wanted it to look empty because they don't live there any more. Though all her reference pictures were from summer or fall, she wanted a late-winter/early-spring image with daffodils growing up out of the snow. This, she said, was always a sign of hope to her family.
