Realism

Realism commissions are my most popular orders to date, with portraits being the most popular sub-chategory. Because of the level of detail required to make an image look real, high quality photographs are a necessity. Anything from a professional photo to a simple snapshot is usable material, as long as the subject is clearly visible and the lighting is decent. I am not limited to merely copying a photograph and actually prefer to have several reference pictures of a subject so that I can artistically "fill in the gaps" that may occur in any single photograph.

    Commission Options

    Graphite or coloured pencil on 8.5x11 paper. Other sizes may be available and prices will be adjusted accordingly. You will receive the original art plus a large JPEG scan for your own purposes.

    Subjects may include:
     1. People
    2. Pets
    3. Wildlife
    4. Scenery

    I do not accept design-related commissions (logos, business cards, etc.)

    Prices
    (For 8.5x11 paper)
     *An additional 25% of the base cost will be added for each additional subject. Unless the subject is scenery alone, landscapes will be concidered a background rather than an additional subject.

    Graphite pencil:

  • Subject with simple background--$70
  • Subject with detailed background--$90

    Coloured pencil:

  • Subject with simple background--$100
  • Subject with detailed background--$130
